Comment: In the footsteps of Carnegie - An introduction to our 2013 Expedition

It is truly incredible the ability of the early explorers to navigate...but then they used instruments that had been tried, proved and tested over a long period of time. There is a lot to be said for it, and the accuracy they provide.

I know Equinox has written about it previously...I'm a map reader from way back!

You are dead right there Baz, just wish I had the skills. I owned a sextant once...as a young lad & just wish I had learnt how to use it properly.
